Position:
  • Sales Support Engineer
Job Description:
  • A pivotal member of the Program Development Group, be the primary technical sales liaison between the customer, business development and the systems engineering group. Support the pre-contract engineering and sales process and the hand-off of signed contracts to the engineering/construction team.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Support business development efforts on the conceptual design and cost estimating of Green Lab applications.
  • Attend off-site customer meetings and perform site assessments of potential PV projects.
  • Interact with customer technical and commercial staff during the project development process.
  • Become an expert in PV plant output performance predictions. Must become technically proficient with solar photovoltaic modules, system designs and technical performance.
  • Remain current with solar product advances and technical roadmap.
  • Remain current on all customer and industry related news and events.
  • Attend customer meetings and perform site visits for PV plant feasibility and pre-engineering phase.
  • Assist with new business development activities including customer presentations.
Experience:
  • 3 years professional experience preferably in engineering/construction energy related field.
  • Aptitude for learning high-level design and performance analysis of PV systems.
  • Experience/knowledge/aptitude of design and permitting process/activities for construction projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects in parallel.
Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Mechanical or Electrical preferred.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to assist with the engineering, and cost estimation of the procurement and implementation of applications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with a strong capability in Excel

Job Description:
  • The purpose of this position is to design, develop, deliver, and administer the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) training programs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs.
  • Manage client operations and maintenance documentation.
  • Manage EPC training data systems.
  • Manage EPC training program evaluations and continuous improvement.
Experience:
  • 5 + years delivering power generation related equipment training programs.
  • 3 + years designing power generation related equipment training programs.
  • 2 + years delivering training programs for clients.
  • 2+ years experience operating power generation equipment.
Education:

Position:
  • Performance & Prediction Manager
Job Description:
  • Leads the Performance and Prediction Team including defining and implementing both a short term and long term strategy/plan that will differentiate Green Lab Energy in the Performance and Prediction discipline.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Work with cross-functional team to analyze long-term performance of our technology in expected deployment environments. Develop algorithms that use performance data to proactively identify potential system performance problems.
  • Develop methods to determine the statistical level of certainty around the quantity and quality of solar insolation at various project sites. This will include familiarity with short term and long term meteorological data sets and understanding industry accepted methods for interpolating data.
  • Produce and manage the production of energy estimates for project development sites and sensitivity analysis.
Experience:
  • Professional Experience - seven to ten years of professional experience including some years in a leadership role. Experience in a rapidly growing, publicly traded organization is preferred.
  • Functional Experience – minimum of five years of performance and/or prediction management experience that includes a total system application scope.
  • Industry Experience – Ideally the candidate should have a background in the Solar Industry with designated experience from companies that are known for their exceptional performance management/prediction skills in the industry. Other relevant sectors include renewable energy such as wind, geothermal etc.
Education:
  • An undergraduate degree in engineering is essential. A Master’s of Science is preferred.

  • Construction Site Supervisor
Job Description:
  • The Construction Site Supervisor will be responsible for site construction, management of civil, mechanical and electrical subcontractors, compliant with contract terms & conditions, installation, schedule, logistics, safety, quality, and constructability of all aspects of photovoltaic projects.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and reports the on-site project management activities of a specific project team with regard to large photovoltaic projects.
  • Responsible to manage sub-contractors to insure the project scope awarded is built in conformance with the plans, specifications, schedule and budget.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and direct site superintendant staff.
Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience construction management of multiple-discipline construction projects.
  • Understanding of Photovoltaic and general power generation.
  • Individual must be knowledgeable in state & city codes & regulations required by the local building department.
Education:
  • BS or BA Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is recommended.
Required Skills:
  • Candidate must have proven record of accomplishment working as a Superintendant leading and supporting multi-discipline teams.
  • Prior management of civil disciplines a must.
  • Ability to guide the construction effort with estimation, management and scheduling skills to successfully complete the project.
  • Basic understanding of construction sub-contracts, insurance issues, permitting issues, and and project scheduling.

Position:
  • Interconnection Engineer
Job Description:
  • Under the general direction of a Director of Transmission and Interconnection, supports the placement of new solar PV applications and manages the project interconnection process. In early development, the Engineer advises project development on suitability of interconnection at alternative sites. The Engineer will coordinate interconnection activities with the local utility, including the interconnection application and guiding projects through the interconnection process up through the Interconnection Agreement. The Engineer will coordinate with various teams to ensure that the overall project design meets the interconnection requirements and a smooth transition to construction occurs. The Interconnection Engineer acts as an internal SME on interconnection Project Interconnection Requirements. Performs related tasks as required.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates project congestion or curtailment risk by performing power flow analysis either in-house or through consultants.
  • Manages the project interconnection process.
  • Coordinates with an independent consultant to perform studies for verification of transmission providers' study results. Submits comments to the transmission providers as necessary.
  • Negotiation of Large and Small Generator Interconnection Agreement (LGIA, SGIA), Backfeed Power Service Request and Transmission Service Requests.
  • Keep Management informed of interconnection development timeline and schedule of costs. Tracking of process deadlines and drive internal decision making process to ensure that timely decisions are made.
  • Provides guidance and technical support for resolution of technical issues that arise from proposed project interconnection.
  • Manage relationships with utilities and ISOs to facilitate project interconnection.
  • Build coalitions among generation project developers in the project area to address common issues.
  • Manage external consultants
Experience:
  • 5 years minimum experience in transmission planning or substation design related activities. Ten years preferred.
Education:
  • BS in electrical engineering, advanced degree preferred.
Required Skills:
  • Understanding of the generation interconnection processes and requirements.
  • Understanding of the technical requirements of generation interconnection.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with utilities to problem solve.
